On August 6, 2010, I premiered my latest collection of paintings titled 'The Urban Equestrian'. This collection of paintings were all inspired by Polo Ralph Lauren, Hip-Hop/Pop culture,'80's/90's fashion, & the connection of these elements. The exhibit was held in Manhattan at actor Kwane Spinks loft. SALUTE to Elizabeth Allen(EMA Photography), Thomas L. Harris(Pro Tim Photo), Maya Elana, & all of the other photographers/bloggers that captured the event. Prints of all of the paintings from this collection will be available soon for sale. One of my favorite mc's from one of my favorite groups passed away yesterday. Keith 'G.U.R.U.' Elam, TThanK you for all of the great music you & Primo made. Since '89/'90 when I first heard him, I've been a fan. If my life had a soundtrack, MANY Gangstarr songs would be on it. This is one.

I know it has been a MINUTE since I posted anything new. I've been creating new work, just haven't posted it. Sorry. Here are a pair of Reebok Pumps I did a month ago. Nothing too crazy, just added my touch on a classic sneaker. I redid everything on them minus the purple netting.
I can remember when this video came out in 1986. This video used to get played every year on Dr.King's birthday. I LOVED this song as a kid! To me this was the 'cooler' version of "We Are The World". I was a fan of almost everyone in this video during this time. Whodini, Full Force, The Fat Boys, New Edition, Run DMC, Kurtis Blow, Stephanie Mills, Stacey Lattisaw, & many more. However, what I didn't like about this song, Run from RUN DMC wasn't in the video. I used to say 'Why is Jam Master Jay(RIP) rapping instead of Run" lol. My favorite part was when the beat breaks down for Kurtis Blow 4:17-4:23 lol. SALUTE DR. Martin Luther King, if only all men had your heart and love.

This Jay Electronica track has been floating around for a few months now. This song gave me chills the first time I heard it. It truly reminded me why I love Hip-Hop. Just Blaze murders the production! Even Capone & NORE put their twist on this track with Exhibit CNN.
Since I haven't done a pair of sneakers in awhile, I decided to bless you guys with something new. The design for the Air Max's were inspired by a paint chip lying on my desk. I call these the ' snowblind's '.
